FOSSIL FUELS STILL ACCOUNT FOR OVER 80% OF GLOBAL ENERGY PRODUCTION.
ENERGY POVERTY IS PERVASIVE, AND GRID DEVELOPMENT IS HIGHLY EXPENSIVE.
PROBLEM
Supplying affordable power is an immediate problem everywhere, but the world is not harnessing the full power of water.
More than half of the world’s viable hydropower is untapped even though it is the biggest contributor to renewable energy provision.
Very low head hydro is hugely unexploited, with a growing interest in applicable devices for a range of productive energy applications.
Conventional hydro devices cannot provide effective ROIs in sites less than 3m head, a global underserved market.
SOLUTION
Our patented, modular construction, wet siting technology will instal quickly to exploit currently inaccessible hydro sites.
With predicted lower costs of energy / kilowatt hour than equivalent solar, wind or fossil fuel devices and savings of 40t CO2emissions / year compared to equivalent diesel gensets.
MARKETS
More sites, more quickly, more easily, more cheaply
There is a vast, virgin market of water drops across the planet where our patented, modular technology can exploit traditionally inaccessible sites.
Vienga estimates 15,000,000 units and growing across varied sectors including:
off-grid productive energy
off-Grid Domestic / Mill Sites
off-grid Schools / Hospitals
on-grid discharge Water Utilities & Factories EU / USA
Our beachhead is off-grid productive power in East Africa (smallest unit 5kW – 120kWh / day – 10kW peak) supporting economic growth.
Route to market for these unexploited sales spaces through regional developer partners – already being assembled – handling sales, installation, billing, after sales services and maintenance.
Once first sales are procured scale up will commence across the globe
TRACTION
Nearly half a million pounds spent mitigating technical risk including proof of concept, simulation, physical component testing and system design, with clear potential for further patents.
Two patents secured to date, complete concept design reviewed by third parties, power simulation tests completed to validate output at given water heights heads / device sizes
Thorough understanding of targeted value chains with African based Operations Manager in place for beachhead sector along with future delivery partners in Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia.
Funding being raised to reach MVP stage, field test device at sites in Tanzania and Uganda, and continue market development with existing partners.
Supply/test partners in place to commence Spring 2026.
